Trailer of the movie "Dictionary"
Actor Bratya Basu is making comeback as a director after almost a decade with his upcoming movie Dictionary, featuring Abir Chatterjee, Nusrat, Mosharraf Karim in the lead roles.
The film is based on two short stories "Baba Howa" and "Swami Howa", both written by renowned author Buddhadeb Guha. Bratya Basu, along with his co-writer Ujjwal Chattopadhyay, has combined these two stories into one screenplay. In the recently released trailer we can see a glimpse of both the stories. The first story is about a married couple played by Abir Chatterjee and Nusrat Jahan. Their marriage is going through a bad phase as they are not compatible with each other. Also the husband is insecure about his marriage because of his wife's proximity with a younger guy played by Arna Mukhopadhyay. The other story is about the struggles of a father who is trying hard to secure a better future for his son. Mosharraf Karim is playing the father in this part. Poulami Basu will be seen as his on screen wife. Arna's character is playing the common thread between the two stories as he is linked with characters from both the stories.

The film has been produced by the production house Friends Communication who were associated with much acclaimed movies like Mayurakshi, Abby Sen, Natoker Mato, Saheb Bibi Golaam and many more. They have always given more priority to the content of the film than its commercial appeal and from the trailer it seems Dictionary will continue that trend. The trailer promises some good performances from the cast along with some wonderful work by the technical crew. This two and half minute long trailer has enough engaging qualities that creates curiosity for the film. The film is scheduled to release on February 12th. Hopefully it will live up to the expectations set by the trailer.
